Rare 1899 UMC factory bullet board in excellent condition hits the mark for $11,769 at SoldUSA.com auction ended Mar. 20-21

An exceedingly rare 1899 United Metal Cartridge Company factory bullet board in excellent condition sold for $11,769 in an Internet and catalog auction that ended Mar. 20-21 by SoldUSA.com. It was the first of two variations and the rarer variety, better known as the “Elk Scene” board. It was also the top achiever of the more than 1,200 items sold.

Familiar Face in New Position to Bolster International Society of Appraisers Education Efforts

Leon Castner, Ph. D., ISA, CAPP, has been appointed to the newly created post of Director of Education. But Castner is hardly a new face in the ISA. He has been a member of America’s largest appraiser association since its founding thirty years ago. He is now directing his attention to revising and expanding the Association’s professional education curriculum to accommodate the growing needs of the Association’s members.

Don’t Be A Thumbsucker!

Mr. Buffett believes that one of the keys to wise investment is patience, and the ability to wait for the “perfect pitch.” When that pitch comes, and you can identify as such, it’s important to “bet with size” and maximize the opportunity that you have so patiently waited for.
