| Comment: Jay Vincze, Director and Head of Sale: Today’s auction realised the highest ever total for an Impressionist and Modern day sale at Christie’s in London, and recorded the 3rd highest ‘sold by lot’ percentage for this category since 2001, as 8 of the top 10 lots sold above their high estimates. We welcomed confident bidding throughout the sale from international collectors who competed at every level for the lots on offer. We were pleased to have offered a selection of works from the Collection of Alfred Hoh which realised £3,274,875; combined with the results of works offered at last night’s sale and the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction this morning, the Hoh Collection realised a total of £16,286,625 / €20,570,007.
