On May 7, following the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, Christie’s New York will hold the Spring 2008 Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper sale, followed by the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale. Offering over 290 lots over the course of the day, both sales will offer works by leading Impressionist and Modern masters such as Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, Joan Miró, Fernand Léger, Paul Klee, Marc Chagall and Henri Le Sidaner. Christie’s remains the only international auction house to hold sales dedicated to Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper, and with both the Day sale and the Works on Paper sale offering lots ranging from $20,000 to $900,000, May 7 will offer bidders the perfect opportunity to enter the market, or further strengthen their own collections.

Cerny’s has a great auction Saturday, April 26, 2008 @ 9am. Cerny’s hasn’t had this nice of a selection of antiques in a long time. They have Mahogany, Oak and Walnut furniture along with the usual box lots. They have a lot to sell so plan to come and spend the day at the farm. See the website for pictures and a complete listing.
