ANDERSON’S RESTORATIONS ENTERING 30TH YEAR
30 years of restoring Wicker Furniture, Chair Caning & Restoring Furniture
Yadkinville, NC - Anderson’s Restorations is entering its 30th year of wicker repair, chair caning and furniture restoration in 2008, 10 years here in Yadkinville, NC. What started out as a furniture refinishing business in Florida, has evolved into a service that specializes in the restoration and repair of wicker furniture, both antique and modern, and all types of chair seating such as Caning, Splint, Rush and Danish Cord. The repair of old wicker furniture is important because many of the wicker items produced by the many companys at the turn of the century are aproaching 80-100 years of use and need care to retain their value and usefulness. Chair caning is a very old craft that requires around 6-8 hours of time to reweave a average size chair seat.
Anderson’s Restorations is also planning a line of new wicker items made in the style of the furniture manufactures of the turn of the century, made here in North Carolina.
Rob & Judi also like to travel to historic events and festivals to demonstrate chair caning and wicker weaving to the public while educating folks about the different materials used and how to care for them.
