PoliceAuctions.com Launches Streaming Auctions

November 2, 2007 – Fountain Valley, California.  PoliceAuctions.com announces its new auction format for live, no reserve auctions.  Their new auction platform allows bidders to see the bids come in on the page real-time, without having to hit the refresh button.  The result is a more compelling auction environment that allows the bidder to focus on their bidding strategy, instead of having to refresh the page.

“This is true web 2.0 technology,” said CEO Bill Keck.  “We have a scalable live streaming auction engine that we use for liquidating inventory.  It’s important to be scalable when you have over 3 million members because no one likes to wait for the page to load.”

PoliceAuctions.com is using the new format to break open new categories, like their just recently added coin auctions.  These auctions start at $1 no reserve and go to the highest bidder.  It’s fun to watch them and see the timers countdown and the bids update themselves.  How much will the next Roman Empire coin with the face of the emperor Constantine go for?  Tune in to PoliceAuctions.com and find out.
